The folding mobile market is finally beginning to cheer up in terms of the number of competitors in the running. If in December OPPO debuted with the OPPO Find N and Huawei changed its strategy with the Huawei P50 Pocket to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3, in January Honor entered the scene with the ambitious Honor Magic V.

The new folding exhibits high performance . With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor , the chipset that is going to be preferred by brands to support their premium range, inside ( 5G ), it sports a 6.45-inch OLED-quality external screen, a refresh rate of 120 Hz , up to 1,000 nits of brightness and support for HDR10 +. For its part, the main panel, also OLED, reaches 7.9 inches and offers a fluidity of 90 Hz .

Hinge strength

The hinge is based on 213 components and its resistance is manifested in that it can be bent more than 200,000 times . According to the company, this means that it can be opened and closed 50 times a day for a decade. Folded it has a thickness of 14.3 mm and unfolded, 6.7 mm.

With the Honor Magic V, Honor joins a list that includes Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, Motorola, OPPO and Royole .
