Faze Clan Save Kidshaywarddecrypt: On February 23rd, 2018, reports began to surface that FaZe Clan e-sports team had participated in a pump-and-dump of Save the Kids coin (STK) which is allegedly responsible for being one of the major cryptocurrency scams in this new era.
The collective quickly denied any involvement and issued a statement on their website to clear up any possible confusion. The collective stated that the players involved were not acting on behalf of the collective. Furthermore, it was made clear that FaZe Clan did not participate in the alleged pump-and-dump, nor are they affiliated with the coin in any way. The statement also reiterated that anyone who is found to be involved will know severe consequences.
The story became more complicated when the gaming media revealed that the collective was involved in a feud with FaZe Banks. This could be why they quickly reacted to the report by denying all allegations against them.
It seems that some of the players were ignorant of what they have done, as evidenced by one player’s statement: “I was told it was a FaZe Clan project, my bad.” He has now been suspended and will not be seeking a future with FaZe Clan.
FaZe Clan’s statement:
The collective, as a sponsor of FaZe Banks, has a very clear line of communication and cannot be involved with the Save The Kids and FaZe Banks projects.
Due to security reasons we won’t share any information on the situation. Any information we’re able to share is done so anonymously or not at all.
We don’t want this to affect the reputation of our organizations and players, since they were involved without knowing what they were doing. We made sure the collective cannot be involved and are looking into the situation to make sure the players’ reputations aren’t affected.
We’ve dropped the players and, as of right now, they’re no longer part of FaZe Clan, since they took action before we had a chance to talk.
We want to reiterate that we are in no way associated with Save The Kids coin or its founders, nor did we participate in any pump-and-dump actions.
Anyone who is found to be involved in any way will be removed from the collective immediately and will face severe consequences.
We want to apologize to anyone this might have affected, but we also hope everyone understands that this was a mistake made by some of our players.
FaZe Clan is working on creating a very strict association with our sponsors and partners so something like this doesn’t happen again.
